About Metro Station Gacha

A station roulette that picks one random station from the 291 stations across all 13 Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway lines at the press of a button. Great for spontaneous stopovers, weekend walks, mini trips, choosing your next place to explore in Tokyo — even YouTube video ideas. Filter by operator or line to draw stations only from the ones you select. The name "gacha" comes from Japanese capsule-toy vending machines (gachapon) — you never know what comes out!

How to use

Press the "Spin the Gacha" button and the roulette will cycle through lines and stations before landing on one. Tap the "Tokyo Metro" and "Toei Subway" chips to switch a whole operator on or off, or the line chips below to fine-tune. Your recent results are kept in the history.

FAQ

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up and no app install are needed; it runs in your browser.

How is the station chosen?

All stations on the lines you have switched on go into one pool, and one is drawn with equal probability. Transfer stations count once per line, so stations served by many lines come up more often.

Can I pick from specific lines only?

Yes. Tap a line chip at the top to switch that line off and exclude it from the draw. In the Tokyo version, the "Tokyo Metro" and "Toei Subway" chips switch a whole operator at once.

Where is my history stored?

Your last 10 results are stored only in your browser on this device (localStorage) and are never sent to a server. You can clear the history from the menu at any time.

Can I share a result?

Use the X or LINE buttons or copy the link under the result. The shared link opens a dedicated page for that station.

Is the station information accurate?

It is based on public information at the time of creation. Please check each railway operator's official website for renamed stations and service status.
